Synopsis

Frankenstein is an 1818 novel written by English author Mary Shelley.

The story takes place in the eighteenth century.

Frankenstein tells the story of Victor Frankenstein,

a young scientist who creates a sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.

It is a frame story that Victor tells Captain Walton whom he met during a chase

about his life and the Creature. After studying science, Victor undertakes the creation of a humanoid.

Despite Victor's attempt to create a beautiful creature, the result is a hideous being with dull,

watery yellow eyes and skin that barely conceals the muscles and blood vessels underneath.

Repulsed by his work, Victor flees. When Victor returns to his laboratory, the Creature is gone.

The Creature murders Victor's old brother and demands that Victor create a female companion like himself.

He argues that as a living being, he has a right to happiness. The Creature promises that he and his mate will vanish into the wilderness, never to reappear, if Victor grants his request.

However, Victor tears apart the unfinished female creature. The Creature threatens him to work again,

but Victor refuses. The Creature ended up murdering Victor's friend and fiance.

Seeking revenge, Victor pursues the Creature through the world and eventually

Victor's sled breaks apart at the North Pole and is rescued by Walton's ship.

At the end of Victor's narrative, Captain Walton resumes telling the story.

Walton discovers the Creature on his ship, mourning over Victor's body. The Creature tells Walton that Victor's death has not brought him peace; rather, his crimes have made him even more miserable than Victor ever was. The Creature vows to burn himself on a funeral pyre so that no one else will ever know of his existence.

Walton watches as the Creature drifts away on an ice raft, never to be seen again.

Reference - Eye

Victor created the Creature with alchemy and anatomy, which is the realm of God.

So I gave a setting that the stairs that lead to Victor's laboratory at the top of the tower resemble the shape

of an eye, meaning that God is watching him. The pupil is in the shape of a circle,

so it is also connected with the shape of his lab which has a circular form.

Reference - Hole

I set the scene with a hole in the ceiling through which the sky is visible.

During the day, bright sunlight enters through the hole and shines on the Creature.

At night, Victor can see twinkling stars through the hole.

Additionally, after a human-like form is created by assembling all the parts,

electricity is drawn from a machine connected to the roof to bring the Creature to life.

The room where he sleeps in the laboratory is small and humble because he has invested all his time in creating

the Creature. Most of the space is decorated with props about making the Creature. I deployed props related to both science and alchemy. The fluorescent yellow potion hanging from the ceiling is Victor's secret potion,

which is most important in creating the Creature.
