Dieyoung is a story about a girl who has gone through a heartbreaking breakup.
She finds out that there is a big hole in her dress and goes to an old, mysterious laundromat.
Stitching up the hole, she gets herself sorted.
Poster Design
Used Software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator

The holes in the fabrics, which mean Eun-young's wounded heart, are overlapped with each other.
Items related to the laundromat were placed in the form of collages.
There was an error in the illustrator on the process, and the shape of the glitch looked like a sewing shape,
so I made the same shapes and added them intentionally.

When we enjoy wearing some clothes, sometimes there is a hole without realizing it.
I feel ashamed of the clothes I liked.
I think the emotions of love are similar.
If you like someone so much for a long time, and you go beyond your limits, a hole can be made in your heart.
You get ashamed of the unusual hole and wonder if you should throw it away.
Eun-young, the main character, mends her favorite dress and sews the hole.
In the process, she organizes her feelings for Jun-seo.
But once you've had a hole, it's just going to keep forming.
You still like the cloth too much to throw it away.
I wanted to show this funny form of emotional excess.

Set Design & Decoration

There are many old laundromats in Seoul, South Korea.
Although they are ordinary places, sometimes I think that there might be a secret place in there.

Old Laundromat

Original Location

After Dressing

We scouted a real laundromat that has been around for over 20 years.
There used to be many laundromats with small rooms inside where the dry cleaners used to live.
I thought we could transform it into a studio.
However, now they are long gone, so it was difficult to find one that still has a room inside.

After Dressing

The old house has been turned into a secret studio.
Various fabrics, threads, and sewing machines were purchased from the fabric market
to make it look like a repair space.
Unique props such as paintings, vintage chairs, and viewing stones were also placed to show
the extraordinary personality of the dry cleaner.

Original Location

After Dressing

This scene is when Eun-young recalls the old good times with Jun-seo.
We used a distorted camera lens to show that it is a different time from the present,
and used dreamy magenta lights and a lot of feathers.
