<Men of Plastic> is about a man (Dae-guk) who was born and raised in Apgujeong, an affluent neighborhood
in Gangnam District in southern Seoul where plastic surgery and skin care clinics abound.
He has booming business ideas and is eager to start his own plastic surgery business.
He encounters Ji-woo, the most talented plastic surgeon in the area who unfortunately loses his medical license.
Together, they lead the way in Apgujeong-dong's plastic surgery industry.
<Men of Plastic> topped Korean Netflix after it was released on Netflix.

A jobless guy who has a wide circle of acquaintances.
He has an ambition to succeed in his area, Apgujeong.

Korean Medical Town Mock-up
Dae-guk's dream was to build the biggest medical town in Asia, which is the Korean Medical Town.
He prepared this mock-up to persuade the Chinese CEO.
It was figured using Sketchup and custom-made with paper.
Chinese throne
Chinese throne was a very important prop in our film,
because it represents Dae-guk's great dream of success.
But we could not find anything that we liked among the props that was rentable.
So we decided to design the throne and order-make it.
The throne had to be made with vivid red and gold colors,
because it had to stand out as a symbol of China,
as it was originally produced to receive investment from the Chinese CEO by impressing him.
2000s cigarette

This is a cigarette brand commonly smoked by Koreans at that time.
After printing the design out, I put it together and filled it with fake cigarettes.
Filler bottle
Since this was a film about plastic surgery, we needed thousands of plastic bottles.
After designing the label, we ordered bottles and put custom-made stickers on them one by one.
A Medical License
Dae-guk made a fake medical license to work with Ji-woo.
Scroll
This is a scroll made by Dae-guk to ask the Chinese CEO to invest in establishing OASIS hospital.
He made it into a scroll and used red color to suit the CEO's taste because he is Chinese.
Name tags
In the movie, Ji-woo works at several hospitals.
Therefore, the name tags of the hospital staff were made in slightly different designs.
Business Cards
All the main characters in the movie had business cards. It was designed and manufactured to reveal each person's character using various materials and colors such as reflecting or embossed materials.

We did data research on luxurious wine bars from the 2000s.
After that, We found a similar location and chose furniture and lighting.

Dae-guk's Office
Dae-guk's office is full of his things.
The business items that Dae-guk had done so far - such as FC Barcelona uniforms and diet aids - were piled up,
and various household items were brought to make it seem that he had lived here for quite a time.

Kyu-ok's spa is where a lot of illegal things happen.
Dark green and gray props were placed to give a secret and luxurious atmosphere.

Taecheon's office is located along the Han River, which is the most expensive area in Seoul.
Unlike Dae-guk's office, it gives the mood like his job which is a gangster and has a luxurious atmosphere.

It is the set of a plastic surgery TV show starring Ji-woo, who started to gain popularity in his field.
PARK JI WOO Plastic Surgery
PARK JI WOO Plastic Surgery is the first plastic surgery established by Dae-guk and Ji-woo by driving out Doctor Jang. We tried to create a new and young atmosphere by using vivid colors.
One-story set was built.
Lobby & Consulting Room
It is a place where a new system is introduced for hospital operations, such as hiring professional counselors,
and many customers start to visit PARK JI WOO plastic surgery. That's why we chose bright pastel-toned furniture to make the rooms look fresh and friendly.

The film had a lot of party scenes, so we set up catering several times.
Dae-guk's Office
Like the original Dae-guk's office, there is a lot of clutter.
There is a secret room inside his office.
Black and brown color is mostly used.
Ji-woo's Office
A blue velvet wall and gold props were set up to show Ji-woo's clever, intelligent personality.

Oasis Hopsital
We built a two-story set for OASIS hospital.
Lobby
Oasis Cafe
To show that it is a new type of plastic surgery, a cafe was created in the lobby of the hospital.
Ji-woo's Office
Ji-woo's signature color, gold, which was slightly seen at PARK JI WOO plastic surgery, was used dominantly.
The office shows that he has now become a successful doctor with luxurious furniture and tone, but he looks lonely somehow.
Dae-guk's Office
The office is made to Dae-guk's liking, which was partially shown from his office in PARK JI WOO plastic surgery.
Black, which is his signature color, was mainly used.
There is a huge secret room inside where he hides money and important documents.
Secret Room in Dae-guk's Office
The secret room is even bigger compared to the one in PARK JI WOO plastic surgery.
Numerous bundles of money and documents are stored. It shows the endless greed of Dae-guk.
After the explosion
A lot of time was spent on implementing the scene after the explosion.
We ripped off wallpaper, broke safety glass, burned bundles of money, and broke furniture.
